LoyalFans Glossary

Last updated

This LoyalFans glossary defines the words a creator meets in LoyalFans’ help centre, its legal documents and any agency contract written for the platform. Some are LoyalFans’ own labels, such as “gift” for a tip or “Shout Out” for a short custom video. Others name settings that decide who can act on your account and who gets paid.

What does the LoyalFans glossary cover?

Twelve terms in five groups. Each definition stands on its own, and every figure in it comes from LoyalFans’ help centre, app or legal documents as read on 30 September 2026.

GroupTerms
Access and payment routingDelegated account, studio account
Subscription offersSubscription bundle, promotional campaign
Messages and tipsLocked message, paid incoming message, gift
Live and callsPrivate show, one-on-one call
Stores and privacyShout Out, video store, blocked regions

Two entries matter most once an agency is involved. A delegated account lets someone work inside your page without your password, while a studio account changes who LoyalFans pays. Read both before agreeing to either set-up, then see how the LoyalFans studio program works and which clauses to check in an agency contract.

One word you will not find below is “chatter”. LoyalFans does not use it in its terms or help articles; chat staff fall under a general line saying third parties may help a creator run an account. For the platform as a whole, start with what LoyalFans is, and for fees and payout timing see the LoyalFans agency FAQ.

Gift (tip)

Gift is LoyalFans’ name for a tip: a voluntary payment a fan sends on top of anything already bought. In a live room the minimum gift is $1.00, and a creator can set tip goals at three levels with a minimum gift for each. Fans can also send gifts during one-on-one calls. LoyalFans defines gifts as fan payments, so its 20% fee applies to them as well.

Delegated account

A delegated account is LoyalFans’ built-in way to let another person help run a creator’s page. In account settings the creator names existing LoyalFans users as delegates, up to 20 of them, and confirms each by email. A delegate switches into the creator’s account with a “Login as” button, so no password changes hands, and the creator can revoke access at any time. LoyalFans said in 2020 that delegates cannot see banking details.

Blocked regions

Blocked regions is the LoyalFans setting that keeps an account out of sight in chosen locations. From the Privacy and Safety section of settings, a creator adds or removes whole countries and individual US states, and visitors in those places do not see the account. Other platforms call the same feature geo-blocking. It sits beside the watermark option for photos and videos.

Locked message

A locked message is a paid direct message on LoyalFans. The fan can see that the message holds content but pays to open it. The LoyalFans app accepts a price from $1 up to $5,000 per message. Other platforms call the same thing pay-per-view, or PPV. The payment counts as a fan payment, so the standard 20% platform fee comes off it like any other sale.

One-on-one call

A one-on-one call is a paid audio or video call between a single fan and a creator, charged by the minute. The creator picks the per-minute price, which the LoyalFans app allows from $1 to $90, and fans can tip during the call. Switching calls on also lists the creator under “Call a content creator”, one of the listings where fans browse for someone new.

Private show

A private show on LoyalFans is the paid, exclusive part of a live broadcast. With the “Only Private” option, viewers pay per minute to watch a whole show or a section of it, at a rate the creator sets; the app allows $1 to $30 a minute. It runs inside Go Live, the LoyalFans feature for live cam shows, which also offers public tip goals, recording and private whispers to viewers.

Promotional campaign

A promotional campaign is a time-limited offer of free or discounted subscriptions on LoyalFans. The help centre lets a creator cap the number of subscriptions at between 1 and 100, keep the offer open for 1 to 30 days, and set the discount as high as 70% or make it free. A creator may run a single public campaign at once, plus any number of private ones. LoyalFans’ documents disagree on the maximum free trial, so check the campaign settings.

Shout Out

Shout Outs are LoyalFans’ short, informal custom videos, made to order for a single fan. The creator decides the price, with a floor of $5, and commits to delivery in 3, 7 or 14 days, while the fan’s money is held as pending until the video arrives. Switching the feature on also adds the creator to a directory of Shout Out sellers, a further way for fans to reach the profile.

Studio account

A studio account is LoyalFans’ official set-up for businesses that manage several creators. Under the Studio Agreement (10 July 2026), LoyalFans keeps its 20% and sends the other 80% to the studio, not to the creator, and the studio must pay its creators. A payment-split rate between 10% and 60% is set per creator, who confirms it by email. A studio must be a registered entity and accepts a two-year non-solicitation clause.

Subscription bundle

A subscription bundle sells several months of a LoyalFans subscription in one purchase at a lower monthly rate. A creator can offer up to three bundles, each running for 3, 6 or 12 months, with a discount set anywhere from 0% to 50% off. Bundles sit alongside the single monthly subscription price, which LoyalFans allows between $1 and $50.

Video store

The video store is a LoyalFans clip shop that runs separately from the subscription, so fans buy clips one at a time whether or not they subscribe. Each upload can be up to 6GB and carry up to 10 tags, which help it appear in the site-wide clip search, and a per-clip discount from 5% to 70% off can be set. Audio clips and images have stores of their own.
