How Does LoyalFans Work?

Written by Sophia Brecht Published Last updated

LoyalFans works like a shop attached to a social feed. A fan subscribes to a creator for one monthly price, then pays separately for anything outside the subscription: priced posts, locked messages, clips, gifts, private shows, calls and custom Shout Outs. How does LoyalFans work on the money side? Every payment runs through LoyalFans, which keeps 20% and credits the creator with the other 80%.

We read the limits below in LoyalFans’ help centre, app and terms on 30 September 2026. Help articles get edited, so confirm a limit on your own settings screen before you build a price plan around it.

How does a LoyalFans subscription work?

You set a single subscription price for the whole month, anywhere from $1 to $50. There are no membership tiers: LoyalFans’ profile settings article describes one price field, and we found no multi-tier option in the help centre or the app.

Two tools change what a fan pays at checkout. Subscription bundles add up to three longer plans (3, 6 or 12 months) at a discount of 0% to 50%. Promotional campaigns hand out cheaper or free subscriptions: 1 to 100 offers per campaign, expiring after 1 to 30 days, priced anywhere from free to 70% off. Only one campaign can be public at a time; private campaigns have no limit.

Free trials are where LoyalFans’ documents disagree. The Creator Supplement says a trial may not exceed one month, while the help centre and app let you give free days from 1 day to 1 year. Check what your campaign screen allows before you advertise a long trial.

What can fans buy beyond the subscription?

Almost everything else is sold per item or per minute. This is what LoyalFans’ help centre and app enforce.

How do live shows and calls fit in?

A live show is free to watch for the audience you choose (public, followers or subscribers), and you earn from gifts and from viewers who pay per minute to stay for a private. Calls are separate: a fan pays per minute for a one-on-one audio or video call and can tip during it.

Each live room has three tip-goal levels, optional recording and “whispers”, which are private messages to single viewers. LoyalFans supports tip-controlled Lovense and Kiiroo toys, and since June 2024 it has run CamJam, multi-cam battles lasting 5 to 30 minutes. Going live or switching on calls also puts you in LoyalFans’ live and call listings. LoyalFans live streaming walks through setup and pricing.

What are stories, polls and fundraising posts for?

Stories and polls are free posts that keep fans coming back; fundraising posts collect money toward a target.

Stories disappear after 24 hours unless you save them as highlights, and LoyalFans’ team reviews each one before it appears. The help centre also calls them a way “to be discovered by new fans”. A poll can carry up to 20 options.

How do fans pay on LoyalFans?

Fans pay by card or from a wallet they top up in advance. InovioPay processes the card payments, the charge appears on a statement as “LoyalBills.com”, and adding a card triggers a temporary $0.10 check. Since April 2023 fans can also fund the wallet with crypto.

Refunds are the exception. LoyalFans’ terms of service make fan payments non-refundable, subscriptions, one-off purchases and tips alike, except where the law requires otherwise. When a refund or chargeback does go through, it comes out of the creator’s share and LoyalFans’ 20% stays as it was. The terms add that creators are not held responsible for chargebacks caused by unauthorised payment fraud or by platform errors.

How does the money reach the creator?

Your 80% builds up in your account and is paid out twice a month, in US dollars, once you have filed a tax form and added a payout method. The 20% fee applies to every kind of fan payment, gifts included, and is worked out without the tax element of the payment.

The dates, minimums and method fees are in LoyalFans payouts. The account itself, from ID check to first settings, is covered in signing up on LoyalFans, and the glossary defines each feature in a few lines.
